All About Alveston

Alveston is a tranquil South Warwickshire village, lying beyond the eastern outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon.  It is situated to the south of a loop in the river Avon.

Alveston is a small village of 170 houses: a church – St James; a pub – The Ferry; a restaurant- Baraset Barn; a large Youth Hostel; a care home for the elderly – Alveston Leys and a village hall – The Malt House.  There is a thriving village community with the Alveston Village Association organising many events throughout the year.

Whilst close to Stratford-upon-Avon and its immediate village neighbour, Tiddington, Alveston residents are proud of their rural setting.  The village is surrounded by fields and pastureland and of course to the North – the river Avon.
